The mission of the National Baby Food Festival is to provide creative and unique entertainment, activities, and community services for the public that directly contributes to and celebrates the aesthetic, cultural, economic and historical elements of the Fremont area. The National Baby Food Festival will organize, promote and conduct family oriented events using the collective efforts and resources of volunteers, businesses, nonprofit organizations and governmental entities to celebrate and enhance the positive international image and recognition of the Fremont Community.
Fremont began having an annual celebration in the 1950’s with the Fremont Old Fashion Days! In 1990 the Festival changes to the National Baby Food Festival allowing our community to celebrate being known as the Baby Food Capital of the World!! The staff and committee members of the festival takes a great deal of pride in providing a festival filled with FUN for all ages. Each year approximately 50,000 people visit Fremont during festival week. Family fun is the key component in the National Baby Food Festival. The city of 4,050 is transformed for one week in July into The Family Fun Capital of the United States!
