Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial 1st Baby Born:

One lucky baby will be born at Spectrum Health Gerber

Memorial Family Birth Center during

the week of Festival. The family

whose new addition arrives on or

after our “top secret” chosen date and time, will be crowned

2017 NBFF 1st Baby Born and will be presented with over

$750.00 worth of amazing prizes just for being born!

 PA Announcements:

Listen Wednesday thru Saturday, four times per day, at approximately 8:30 am, 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm. The announcements will be broadcast over an expanded PA system in the downtown area. These announcements bring special attention to area businesses, activities, and events.

 NBFF Golf Carts:

Be sure to watch for golf carts being driven around Downtown during the Festival. The drivers will be able to provide you with information and directions relating to the 2017 Festival.

State Games of Michigan NBFF Open Pinball Tournament

Qualifying for the Pro, Novice, Senior’s, Women’s, Classics, Kid’s divisions and Free Daily Tournament. $1 per game. Proceeds go to Tracy’s Gang from Fremont/MS Society of Michigan and the Meijer State Games of Michigan.

Kids ages 6-10 & Jr. Division for 11-14 year olds get a chance to test out their hips and see who can keep going the longest. Every child receives a prize for participating. No pre-registration required.

Downtown Dash Kid’s Fun Run

Cool t-shirt and participation gift will be available to all participants who pre-register. Trophies are awarded to the first three finishers in each of the four age groups. This race is for kids 12 and under, and it is a 1/2 mile fun run/ walk. Registration forms are available at the Festival Office. And don’t forget to stay for the Grand Parade following the race.

Excellence in Vision’s Chalkin’ in the Streets

People are lining the sidewalks, you can hear a band in the distance, and the streets are covered in priceless works of art created by YOU. Be along the Sheridan Street parade route before the Grand Parade and have an opportunity to “sidewalk chalk” the streets.

This years parade theme is “Fun & Games” and will feature nearly 100 entries including the newly crowned 2017 NBFF Queen and her Court, floats, marching bands, color guards, entertainers, clowns, and much more! The parade begins at the corner of Pine Street and Gerber Ave. at Fremont Middle School, then heads north on Gerber Ave. to Sheridan St., and continues east on Sheridan St. to Darling, south on Darling to Maple St., and west on Maple St. ending at Mechanic and Maple Street.

‘Gerber Baby Food’ Cupcake Challenge

Time to get creative with your favorite cupcake recipe for the NBFF Cupcake Challenge. All entries must contain Gerber Baby Food as an ingredient, and will be judged on taste, texture, decorations / presentation of your one dozen (12) cupcakes. Public cupcake tasting from 2:30-3, with the winner announced at 3:30. Entry forms available at the Festival Office.

NCSECU Jr. Baby Food Eating Contest
Jul 22 @ 4:00 pm

Baby food eating is one of the signature events of the Festival. The contest is open to 7-12 year olds and a Jr. division for 13-15 year olds. They will compete in pairs while the “feeders” are blind folded, and the “eaters” must keep their hands behind their back. Winners must have consumed more than what is left on the table and their chins.

Pie Eating Contest

For Children ages 6-14 divided into three age groups trying to eat a blueberry pie in the fastest time without silverware or hands of course! Pre-register from 3:30 – 3:45pm.
