Put your baking skills to the test and enter this cupcake challenge on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016! The catch, you have to use “Gerber Baby Food” as at least one ingredient. The entries must be delivered to the White Insurance Company Community Stage no later than 1:45 pm. The judging will begin at 2:00, public tasting from 2:30-3:00 pm, and the winner announced at 3:30 pm!
Gather a team of five people together on Thursday, July 21, 2016! One team member will ride on the bed and the other four will be the bed “pushers”. Teams will be racing against each other using identical beds, provided by the Festival. You may want to dress in costumes, or wear matching shirts. Use your imagination! You must be at least 16 years or older to participate. Helmets, knee pads, and wrist guards are highly encouraged, but not required.
Join us for the Geers Family Chiropractic Bike Race on Friday, July 22, 2016! With several different age divisions, the bike race is sure to be a blast. Age divisions are divided into: training wheels & 4 years old and under, 5 to 7 years old, 8 to 10 years old, and 11 to 13 years old. Trophies are provided for 1st and 2nd place in each age group. All trophy winners are invited to ride their bikes in the Grand Parade on Saturday, July 23rd!!
Teams will compete in three different events for the athletic and for the not-so-athletic at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2016. This fun event is a great way to promote camaraderie and friendly competition among departments or between businesses.
This event is a fun run/walk for all children 12 and under. The distance is one-half mile (parents are welcome to walk with their children at no cost). The race will begin at 9:35 am on July 23rd, 2016. Start and finish are adjacent to the Fremont Recreational Center, on Sheridan Avenue. After the race you may enjoy the Baby Food Festival Parade. All participants will receive a Downtown Dash gift! (NOTE: The location of the Downtown Dash has not changed from prior years)
Both Courses start and finish at Fremont High School (5421 S. Warner) on Saturday, July 23rd starting at 8:30am. The 5K takes you past Fremont Lake Park, while the 10 Miler tours around Fremont Lake!
Come join us on Thursday, July 21st, 2016 at the amphitheater in Veterans Memorial Park for the ultimate Lip Sync Battle! This battle welcomes individuals of all ages. Registration is open to the first 10 teams that submit the completed form and music. Teams may range in size from 1 to 8 people. So, bring out your props and ultimate dance moves for this spectacular event!
Bring your basketball game to the Fremont Community Recreation Center on Saturday, July 23, 2016! This co-ed event has been organized into age divisions of grade school (5th grade), middle school (6th – 8th grades), high school (9th – 12th grades), and adult. The school divisions will be based on the grade being entered in the fall of 2016. Sign up your 3 person team by July 15, 2016 (cost $15 per player) and receive a t-shirt!
Bring in, or mail a current photo of your pride and joy to Huntington Bank – Baby Photo Contest (2 West main St) for the chance of them to become this year’s National Baby Food Festival Prince/Princess! The winners will be announced on Thursday, July 21st at 7:45pm and will get to participate in the Grand Parade on Saturday, July 23rd.
This year’s parade theme is “Storybook Land” and will feature nearly 100 entries including the newly crowned 2016 NBFF Queen and her Court, floats, marching bands, color guards, entertainers, clowns, and much more on Saturday, July 23 at 10am!
Let the god times roll! Join us for the NBFF Car Show featuring 20 different classes of classic cars, merchandise vendors, entertainment, and more on Saturday, July 23 at 11am – 4pm following the Grand Parade!
Join us for an afternoon of fun for children 0-12 years old on Wednesday, July 20 at 11am – 2pm. Children will enjoy fun, hands on activities, crafts, food demonstrations, and more! Stop by to say hello to your local Law Enforcement Officers and Firemen.
