Come join us on Saturday, July 15th from 10am – 4pm at Veteran’s Memorial Park where crafters and artists bring you their one of a kind items. This is a wonderful place to shop!
Put your baking skills to the test and enter this cupcake challenge on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017! The catch, you have to use “Gerber Baby Food” as at least one ingredient. The entries must be delivered to the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce Office no later than 1:45 pm. The judging will begin at 2:00, public tasting from 2:30-3:00 pm, and the winner announced at 3:30 pm, on The White Insurance Agency Community Stage.
Gather a team of five people together on Thursday, July 20, 2017! One team member will ride on the bed and the other four will be the bed “pushers”. Teams will be racing against each other using identical beds, provided by the Festival. You may want to dress in costumes, or wear matching shirts. Use your imagination! You must be at least 16 years or older to participate. Helmets, knee pads, and wrist guards are highly encouraged, but not required.
Join us for the Chemical Bank’s Bike Rodeo on Friday, July 21, 2017, at 9:00am! Bring the kids, their bikes, and their helmets for FREE, hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety. A fun event for kids 4-12 years old. Registration starts at 8:45, and all participants must wear helmets. Receive a goody bag, courtesy of Chemical Bank, and a helmet safety check from the Fremont Police Department. Let the good times roll! Join us for the NBFF Car Show featuring 20 different classes of classic cars, merchandise vendors, entertainment, and more on Saturday, July 22nd at 11am – 4pm following the Grand Parade!
Join us for an afternoon of fun for children 0-12 years old on Wednesday, July 19th at 11am – 2pm. Children will enjoy fun, hands on activities, crafts, food demonstrations, and more! Stop by to say hello to your local Law Enforcement Officers and Firemen.
Both Courses start and finish at Fremont High School (5421 S. Warner) on Saturday, July 22nd starting at 8:30am. The 5K takes you past Fremont Lake Park, while the 10 Miler tours around Fremont Lake!
This event is a fun run/walk for all children 12 and under. The distance is one-half mile (parents are welcome to walk with their children at no cost). The race will begin at 9:35 am on July 22nd, 2017. Start and finish are adjacent to the Fremont Recreational Center, on Sheridan Avenue. After the race you may enjoy the Baby Food Festival Parade. All participants will receive a Downtown Dash gift! (NOTE: The location of the Downtown Dash has not changed from prior years)

This special parade is for the young (ages 12 and under) and the young at heart and features pets, walkers, bikers, groups, floats, and costumes! The theme is “Storybook Land”. This event takes place on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017. Registration begins at 4:45pm, judging at 5:15pm sharp, with the parade beginning at 5:30pm. Two lucky winners will receive a new bicycle courtesy of Walmart.
Come join us on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at the amphitheater in Veterans Memorial Park for the ultimate Lip Sync Battle! This battle welcomes individuals of all ages. Registration is open to the first 10 teams that submit the completed form and music. Teams may range in size from 1 to 8 people. So, bring out your props and ultimate dance moves for this spectacular event!
Teams will compete in three different events for the athletic and for the not-so-athletic at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2016. This fun event is a great way to promote camaraderie and friendly competition among departments or between businesses.
Bring your basketball game to the Fremont Community Recreation Center on Saturday, July 22, 2017! This co-ed event has been organized into age divisions of grade school (5th grade), middle school (6th – 8th grades), high school (9th – 12th grades), and adult. The school divisions will be based on the grade being entered in the fall of 2017. Sign up your 3 person team by July 14, 2017 (cost $15 per player) and receive a t-shirt!
Bring in, or mail a current photo of your pride and joy to Huntington Bank – Baby Photo Contest (2 West main St) for the chance of them to become this year’s National Baby Food Festival Prince/Princess! The winners will be announced on Thursday, July 20th at 7:45pm and will get to participate in the Grand Parade on Saturday, July 22nd.
Special Kid’s Day
The park and Midway are closed to the public on Thursday, July 20 from 9am – 1pm to allow special needs children with a disability or debilitating illness to enjoy the carnival at their own pace. Activities include entertainment, games, carnival rides, and lunch. To sign up, call the Fremont Area Chamber Office.
